Sikkim

Out of the reveal passes connecting India with Tibet , one  is Nathula, which is past of the original silk route. Land  of peace, amity & tranquility

Sikkim is a land of monumental mountains that seem to touch the heaven. The Mt. Kanchendzonga the third highest mountain in the world majestically towers over all the mountains in its vicinity. Like a god surrounded by smaller deities. A Mountain our region in the Easter Himalayas bounded by Bhutan in the east, Nepal in the  West , Tibet ( China )  in the North & South with West Bengal.

Sikkim was a hereditary monarchy till 1975 under the Chogyal dynasty.  In the year  1950 first treaty was signed between Independent India and then Chogyal of Sikkim. On 16.06.1975 Sikkim is metamorphosed as the 22nd  State of the India Union.

Pang Lhabsol one of the unique festival of Sikkim which falls between month of August and September and annual festival of rituals and dance dedicated to the worship of the Snow range of Kanchendzonga. Monks dressed in the impressive masks and opulent brocades, sparkling jewellery, verile Sikkimese dances evoke the Gods. A tour of Sikkim represents  exotic landscape with gentle rolling hills and emeralds green valleys, blue lakes and dense forest.

An eco-tourism heaven, it is still one of the last frontiers of ecological splendors largely untrammeled by the  hills. Due leaves filled with water drops drives you  through  the hills. Sikkim is most beautifully  sealed with himalayas. It’s an paradise for adventure lovers especially to do rock climbing, trekking, river rafting, biking etc and one can also go for a yak ride. Men & women are equally treated, literally ranks high. Being a hilly state wine shops are available within a easy reach.
